Face Paints

Safety

face painting

Face Painting can be a big fun part of parties and other special occasions. Here are some pointers to help keep your face painting safe.

All of our clowns use face paints that have FDA approved ingredients for the skin. Acrylic craft paints are not meant to be used on the skin. NEVER, NEVER let your child be painted with anything other than FDA approved paints for the skin. They can burn into the skin, leaving permanent scarring.

Proper face paints wash off easily with soap and water. Be sure to wash off the face paints before going to bed.

To avoid spreading diseases, we will not paint people with contagious illness, or who have open sores or wounds.

Full Faces vs Cheek Art

Although most of our clowns who face paint do full faces, some do cheek art as well. Key Benefits to full face painting include:

  • Takes just about as much time as cheek art
  • Looks better
  • Children can actually "become" the character they are painted
  • Full face painting can be an entertainment art form. It's fun to watch.
